HDR

HDR Photography:

HDR Photography stands for High Dynamic Range Photography and is a way of combining together image data from several digital exposures to create one final photo with non-realistic details. (http://www.howtogeek.com/64320/htg-explains-what-is-hdr-photography-and-how-can-i-use-it/)
The idea of several exposures was discovered in the 1850’s by Gustave Le Gray to show both the sky and the sea in one photo. HDR has been recognized for years but was not used often until recently. Modern HDR photography is different because it is based on making a high-dynamic ranged image.  (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-dynamic-range_imaging#History_of_HDR_photography)

HDR photos are created with cell phones, cameras, and photoshop.

I used one of the school cameras and took a total of 9 images; 3 underexposed photos, 3 regular photos, and 3 overexposed photos. I changed the setting for the underexposed to -2 and the setting of overexposed to +2. Then I combined the three images and altered the HDR tones to make one final HDR photo. I learned how to expose a picture into HDR using only a camera, photoshop, and the tutorial.

The theme I used for my photos was nature. One photo is leaves laying on the grass, another is houses with trees, and the last is a pumpkin.
I chose this theme because I love nature and I wanted to see what it would look like to make natural things HDR.

Dreams Of Flying

Jan Von Holleben was born in Cologne in 1977 and grew up in Germany. When he was thirteen years old he started using a camera and developing skill in his photographs. After he had finished teaching children with disabilities in Freiberg, he moved to London. In London, at Surrey Institute of Art and Design, he got his degree in the Theory and History of Photography. He worked there as a picture editor, art director, and photographic director. His pictures would focus on his memories and personal experiences of his childhood and he called it the man who learns through play. He lives and does his job in London, Berlin, and Sasbach am Kaiserstuhl.

I chose this picture because I like how colorful it is and I like how the boy is dancing because it looks really cool.

I chose this photo because it reminds me of the movie Twilight. I like how he made the forest spooky and mysterious from the fog and the dark trees.

I like this picture because it reminds me of the desert and you normally wouldn’t see a soccer net in the desert. I would also like to play soccer there.

This is my two test shots and my final shot. I chose badminton for my images because it is one of my favourite sports to play.

These are two more of my test shots and one final shot. I chose myself painting because i love to paint at home and i wanted to have it in my photos.

These are two test shots and a final shot. I chose dropping a cell phone because i am always on my phone and i don't know what i would do without it.

Music Cover

For my first album cover I chose a picture of Veronika and I because she is one of my bestfriends. The song I chose is "Live Your Life" By Rihanna and Eminem. I chose that song because I like to live my life to the fullest, the lyrics fit to my life, and it used to be my favourite song when I was younger.

For my second album cover I chose a picture of myself. The song I chose was "Wake Me Up When September Ends" By Green Day because I hate the month september because summer is over and you have to go back to school. September reminds you that summer and all your fun is over.

My last album cover is a picture of Gillian and I. I put her in the picture because she is one of my good friends. The song I chose is "Take Care" By Drake and Rihanna. I chose it because it describes about how everybody makes mistakes sometimes and you shouldn't be ashamed because not only you do. I like the lyrics because they talk about helping out somebody when they are hurt and that's what i always try to do with my friends.

Hipster photo

I took this photo because I wanted to edit a living insect into my photo and I thought it would look cool. This picture was taken right by the field beside the fence on a blackberry bush.

I took this photo because I liked the foggy look outside of the window and I wanted to edit the scenery in the window to make it stand out. This photo was taken of the door upstairs that goes to the portables.

I took this photo because i like trees and there is a lot going on in the picture. I took this photo right outside of the hub.
